I started in restaurants in 1996 at a family-owned pizza shop in Raleigh and quickly discovered a passion for the industry. After earning an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts, I spent years working nearly every restaurant position—from dishwasher to bartender—before moving into management in 2003.

Over the next two decades, I led restaurant teams, managed operations, and developed expertise in budgeting, cost control, forecasting, labor management, and profitability. As a General Manager, I learned firsthand how critical strong financials are to a restaurant’s success.

Today, I combine that real-world restaurant experience with a passion for numbers through Sharper Edge Bookkeeping. My mission is simple: help restaurant owners gain financial clarity, improve profitability, and spend more time focusing on what they do best—running their business.
